About Me!
I am a multimedia journalist who grounds my work in listening to and learning from the community. I believe in the power of human-centered stories, and I enjoy finding them by striking up conversations, reading postings on telephone poles, eavesdropping on public transportation, and keeping my eyes open.
I write everything, including breaking news stories and in-depth features for a range of publications. While working for the Portland Press Herald, my editors said I had a special ability to find communities that weren’t being covered and to share their poignant stories with our readers. As an enthusiastic Rhode Island resident for the time being, I write about interesting pockets in the greater Providence area for the Boston Globe, Ocean State Stories, Rhode Island PBS, and Beacon Communications.

I also jump at the opportunity to whip out my camera. I’ve been capturing the world around me since I was gifted a small blue digital camera for my fifth birthday. I still photograph my world, and as the 134 Photo Chief of the Brown Daily Herald, that has meant documenting the dynamic campus environment.
I will wrap up my undergraduate degree in History at Brown University in May 2025, and I am eager to continue finding and telling meaningful stories.
